Swimming

Go for a swim in the clean and pure water of Lake Markkleeberg. The bay of Auenhain with its 600 meters of beach is the longest bay of the lake. Besides the swimming possibilities you have also the opportunity to experience further active and sportive free-time activities.

 

 

Discover and experience the area around the lake – either by walking, by riding a bike or by rollerblading. There is a 9.7 km long trail around the lake. You have the possibilities to relax, take a break or to even have a romantic picnic on the waterfront. At the Crosewitzer Höhe south of the Lake Markkleeberg you will have an amazing view over the lake and towards the city of Leipzig.
